This month we were lucky enough to stay at Nug Nug Cabin in Mt Buffalo.

It was honestly the best weekend away. Steven the owner of Nug Nug was great with Jaxon and made it extra special for him. As you can see by the pictures Jaxon was in his element. He loves being outdoors, so this was perfect for him. We can't wait to make this a regular holiday destination. Steven also kindly donated a two night stay to Jaxon's fundraiser, for which we are extremely grateful for.

Jaxon commenced Hydrotherapy recently and loved every minute of it, this would have to be his favourite therapy. He loves being in the water and it is nice to see him so happy and trying new things. We also started at a new speech therapist who is perfect for Jaxon, I can't wait to see what next year brings. As Jaxon is unable to communicate, we will look at trialling a communication device for him next year to help ease his frustration.
Hydrotherapy
Unfortunately, we missed our last physiotherapy session for the year due to Jaxon being booked for an urgent EEG, as we noticed a decline in his motor skills. This is something we have been told to keep an eye on, if Jaxon's development ever declines, we need to act ASAP. The EEG showed lots of electrical activity on the whole left side. We have been told to keep a close eye on his development and if things don't improve Jaxon will be admitted to hospital for an overnight EEG to make sure we aren't missing anything. As Jaxon is prone to nocturnal seizures, we are hoping these haven't increased without us knowing. I'm sure there will more discussion next year regarding surgery if things don't improve.

A special thank you to Terry who travelled to our house on a Sunday to deliver our bikes and Jaxon's bike seat. We were able to take Jaxon on a bike ride, something we have been so excited to do. Jaxon loves bikes so he was very excited and he didn't want to get off.
Jaxon is limited to what he can do so to be able to do this activity together as a family is great!

Having a disability fund for Jaxon has honestly been a blessing, we have been able to use these funds for Jaxon's private medical appointments, medications, extra therapy and for much needed family time and respite.
